  • Persistent sadness
  • Loss of interest in activities you normally enjoy
  • Changes in eating habits-like overeating or under-eating
  • Decreased ability to concentrate
  • Feeling hopeless, helpless, worthless, or excessive guilt
  • Feeling irritable or having extreme mood changes
  • Thoughts of death or suicide
